Pilot Production Phase
A properly conducted pilot phase in the product testing process sets the stage for a successful product launch. During this phase, pre-production lots are created so that all components are made exactly as planned for actual production. Production tooling will be accepted and assembly fixtures are designed, built, and tested as required. Inspection procedures, process, and assembly instructions are used, verified, and modified as required. Printed circuit board assembly processes are checked. Additionally, in process testing, the final test and “out of box” audits are conducted.
